Challenge

Amidst an overall decline in high street footfall, Superdry was keen to create compelling reasons for customers to visit stores. Our task was to create an innovative and unique digital experience which would bring the brand to life in a captivating and interactive way.

Insights

We uncovered an opportunity to not only create an exciting experience for shoppers, but also capture valuable data about their attitudes and preferences which would, in turn, help to inform and guide the Superdry design team.

Outcome

We envisaged, created and installed a smart mirror experience for Superdry’s flagship Berlin store. Using body-tracking and gesture-motion technology, we created an avatar-like rendering of the customer on-screen, which corresponded to their movements, allowing them to try on clothes virtually.


The mirror is designed to display conceptual clothing ranges (which are yet to be manufactured) directly from the Superdry design studio. Customer’s are able to ‘like’ their favourites. This data provides real-time feedback which informs future product innovation.
